Oddity, Inc. was established in 1976 when Bob Averill left the company he worked for and started his own from the back of his van. After two years of selling products out of his van, Bob moved the company into an old barn near his hometown, Pottsville, PA. Once he landed business relationships with more and more suppliers to help develop new lines of product, Bob was able to bring in sales representatives and a customer service support team to field inbound calls. From there, he hired employees to pack and ship products to his customers in a timely manner.

Although Bob sold the company in 1998 to focus on his love for travel and antique collecting, Oddity still remains proud to provide the same quality service and products as they have in the past.
